Wisdom is the Tree of Life

Sisters and Associates gathered on Saturday, July 10, 2021, at Montfort Spiritual Center for a beautiful celebration recognizing last year’s and this year’s Jubilarians for the witness of their faithful and hope-filled lives. A welcome was given by Provincial, Sr. Catherine Sheehan, and the Mass was presided over by Fr. Gerald Fitzsimmons, SMM, with a reading by Sr. Anne Scahill, the Homily given by Sr. Marie Chiodo, and prayers led by Sr. Patricia Schmidt. The renewal of religious vows was made before Sr. Catherine Sheehan and all who gathered. Not pictured but also celebrated this year is Sr. Jacqueline Ayotte, 60 years, and Sr. Rosemary Gaffney, 75 years. We also remembered Sr. Aurelie Michaud who celebrated 80 years of profession last year, and Sr. Virginia Cunniff who would have been celebrating 75 years.

Special thanks to all who planned the day and helped make it special: Sr. Diane Capozzi. Sr. Cathy Murtha, Sr. Evelyn Eckhardt, and Sr. Patricia Torre; and the staff from Our Lady of Perpetual Help Convent: Karen Murphy, Donna Hartmann, and Sonia Smith. Also, we are very thankful for the service of Rosalie Mullane, Katharine Miller, and Mary Sheehan for making the dinner extra special.
